Important Announcement from Fur Kids Foundation
We are writing to you today with a heavy heart to inform you that Fur Kids Foundation will be dissolving in the coming years. In late 2024 we began a search for potential board members to take over the organization, and unfortunately did not have enough interest. Due to this, the board has agreed to move forward with the dissolution of the organization. This decision was not made lightly, and we understand that it may be difficult to hear.
The Fur Kids Foundation board is incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together. Since our founding in 2011, with the unwavering support of our community, we have granted more than $323,000 to help families with emergency veterinary care for their beloved pets. Your generosity and belief in our mission have enabled us to assist nearly 1,300 families in Campbell County, Wyoming. The positive impact you have made on animal health in our community over the past 13 years is truly profound, and we are deeply grateful for your support.
As we prepare to wind down operations, we are committed to ensuring that any remaining assets are distributed responsibly and ethically. Effective immediately, Fur Kids Foundation will no longer actively seek donations or hold events. However, we assure you that the funds we have raised will be used according to our mission. We will continue to accept applications for emergency veterinary care assistance until all remaining funds have been distributed. This process may take several years, and we will provide quarterly updates on our social media channels to keep you informed on how the funds are being allocated.
