Charitable Bequests
A bequest to Fur Kids Foundation makes a real difference. Your bequest helps us continue to provide education and aid to promote the well-being of families with animals in Campbell County, Wyoming that come into our care every year. Bequests enable us to plan for the future, achieve more and ensure that families with animals in need continue to receive the support that Fur Kids Foundation provides. 

A bequest may be made in your will or trust directing a gift to our organization. Benefits of your bequest include:
  • receive estate tax charitable deduction
  • lessen the burden of taxes on your family
  • leave a lasting legacy
If you're interested, you can make a bequest with the help of an adviser in your will or your trust to specify gifts to be made to family, friends or a charity such as Fur Kids Foundation as part of your estate plan. Bequest options include:
  • gift of a percentage of your estate
  • gift of a specific dollar amount or asset
  • gift from the balance or residue of your estate
You can also make a bequest of your retirement assets, such as an IRA account to Fur Kids Foundation. If the IRA were given to your family, some of the value may be lost through estate and income taxes. By designating a charity as the beneficiary of all or part of your IRA, the full value of the gift is transferred tax-free at your death, and your estate receives an estate tax charitable deduction. 
How to include Fur Kids Foundation in your will
If you would like to leave a bequest to Fur Kids Foundation in your will, we recommend you consider using the following suggested wording, which should be discussed further with your lawyer or estate planner:
I give and bequeath to Fur Kids Foundation for the use and purpose of Fur Kids Foundation the sum of $           dollars (or a percentage of my estate), free of all death duties, and the receipt of the Treasurer or President or other proper officer of Fur Kids Foundation shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors for this legacy.
