Numbers include every applicant who has applied for assistance. We are not always able to provide assistance to every family who requests help. This happens for many reasons. Sometimes the vet bill doesn’t end up being as costly as expected so the family tells us that they can pay the bill, sometimes the applicant doesn’t complete the entire application process, or sometimes the applicant exceeds our income guidelines. To learn more about our application process, please check out our Application for Assistance Terms of Assistance near the bottom of the application. You may also call and speak with any of our Case Managers about the process at 307.363.1131.

Where does your money go?
The Fur Kids Foundation volunteer board works very hard to make sure the majority of the money we raise is used to help families with animals in need; however, there are costs of running a nonprofit. Below is the cost breakdown of our expenses for the last three years.

Our board agendas, financials, and minutes are always available to be reviewed. Contact us and we'll be happy to review them with you.

  2. Fundraising: Cost of running events -- catering, booking location, etc.
  3. Operating Expense: Advertising/marketing costs, event/board insurance, legal/nonprofit fees, office supplies (envelopes, paper, stamps), etc.
Note: The organization started granting aid in September 2012 and filed/payed for our federal 501 (c)(3) nonprofit status.
