Posted February 10: Meet Baby Doll, or Babe for short. Abandoned in the Gillette, Wyoming country, and clearly in need of some love and nutrition, a good Samaritan opened her heart and home to help this emaciated horse. Fur Kids Foundation has received an application to help with Babe's vet bills and plans to provide some assistance, but this good Samaritan is in need of more assistance than we can provide. Babe has a long road to recovery, and the Foundation plans on following her as she progresses.
Update, February 17: It is with heavy heart that I update you with this information. Babe has passed.
While this is very sad information, we wanted to express how grateful we are to this wonderful community. Babe's caretaker was able to raise enough donations to have Babe's vet bills and expenses paid for in the short time that she had her. Fur Kids Foundation didn't even have to step in to provide assistance. Be proud of yourself Gillette and Campbell County, Wyoming. Thank you for caring for this beautiful horse, and major props to the good Samaritan who took care of her for nearly two weeks.
