Linda Tufvesson
Linda Tufvesson is a board member for Fur Kids Foundation and serves as a Case Manager on the application committee. She has been with the Foundation as a volunteer since July 2014.
The first thing Linda did when she finished college and got a job as a teacher was adopt a dog. Since then, she has certified two dogs as Therapy Dogs and Reading Education Assistant Dogs who were involved with students in the Campbell County School District for 12 years. Linda recently retired from teaching after serving 33 years with CCSD. She has also assisted and taught obedience classes through the Campbell County Recreation Center for the past 12 years. Up until 2005, all of the dogs Linda had were adopted. When she became interested in participating in dog sports and needed a "papered' dog to do so, she acquired two Sussex Spaniels--the first was Finley, and three years later she got Hartley. Together, they have participated in Obedience, Rally, Canine Freestyle and Nose work. Currently, Linda enjoys training and participating with Hartley in Nose Work Trials and spending time in Minnesota. |
