Louie, Louie!

Oh Louie. Like most 11-month-old kittens, Louie is curious and likes to get into just about everything. A few weeks ago, Louie's parents noticed that he wasn't as rambunctious as normal, and he wasn't eating. After contacting the Foundation, Louie's parents took him to Gillette Pet Vet Clinic to see what had their cat under the weather.
After Dr. Allee had x-rays taken, she spotted an object in his stomach. It turns out that Louie got ahold of the nipple on a baby bottle, chewed off a bit of it and it got stuck in his tummy. Poor Louie had to get surgery and spent some time in the vet's office recuperating.

After the ordeal, Louie's parents reached out to the Foundation to say that they couldn't thank the Foundation enough. "If it wasn’t for the Foundation, I don't know what we would have done."

Fortunately, Louie is now healing, and back to his fun loving and active self. His owners are hiding all nipples and pacifiers from him now, and are even keeping an eye on their child's sippy cups.

Fur Kids Foundation can only help families with animals who need assistance because of the support from businesses, donations by individuals (like you) and fundraisers. Please consider donating to our cause.
