Mr. Guido
Earlier this month, we got a call from a family in Gillette worried about their cat, Mr. Guido. See, Mr. Guido likes to tangle with other cats in the neighborhood, and he often comes limping home with a few injuries. This time, his injuries proved to be too much for his owner to handle on their own. Read what Mr. Guido's family sent us about their experience with Fur Kids Foundation:
"Mr. Guido is feeling better, finally! This last summer my poor boy had a pretty bad abscess on his paw that I tried to take care of myself. I drained it and kept it medicated and thought all would be well. After two months of draining, wrapping and medicating his paw it went away. About two weeks ago he came limping back home (he's a scrapper). I just figured it was another small wound that would soon go away and it didn't. His paw swelled up almost two times it's normal size and he seemed to be crying out in pain. I just couldn't stand it.
"I contacted The Fur Kids Foundation in hopes of getting a little help. I knew a vet bill was going to be a pretty penny that I just didn't have. Within three hours they said they read my application and we're going to help us! The vet took x-rays, gave him antibiotics and pain meds, which you could imagine came to a fairly large amount. Fur Kids was contacted and billed for their part in Guido's bills. I could not be more thankful for this amazing organization! "If you donate to local shelters, ASPCA, or any other Foundations, please take a second to donate to Fur Kids. All proceeds go to a GREAT cause." |
