Pet-A-Palooza

Gillette's only, and first, all-day pet festival! 
Pet-A-Palooza is Fur Kids Foundation’s signature event. The all-day pet festival held in Gillette, Wyoming features the Fast and the FURriest Fun Walk, Pawject Runway fashion show for dogs, the Small Dog Showdown 40-foot dog race for pups 20 pounds and under, 4-H dog agility and dog demonstrations, as well as silent auction tables and pet-related products and services, and more.

Schedule of Events
- 8 am: Registration open for the Fast and the FURriest Fun Walk
-8:30 am: Fast and the FURriest Fun Walk begins! $15 donation without a dog bandanna; $20 with a dog bandanna
- 9 am: Drawing for the Fast and the FURriest Poop Fairies! Also: Agility opens; vendors open for business; silent auction table open. Registration opens for Pawject Runway and the Small Dog Showdown.
- 9:15 am: Pet Blessing, participants may blow bubbles in memory of their pets. Free!
- 10 am: Dog Demo with K9 Brothers. Free!
- 10:30 am: Registration for Small Dog Showdown closes.
- 11 am: Small Dog Showdown, 40-foot race for dogs 20 pounds and under! $5 entrance fee. Two categories: Micro Mutts (up to 10 pounds) and Tiny Tots (11 to 20 pounds). Participants must provide proof of rabies vaccination.
- 11:30 am: Registration for Pawject Runway closes.
- Noon: Pawject Runway, fashion show for all sizes of dogs. $10 entrance fee.
- 12:30 pm: Silent Auction tables close.
- 1 pm: Festival closes. Vendor booths clothes. Agility closes.
- 2:30 pm: Silent auction items must be picked up.

Registration
Each owner is required to complete a registration form and review the liability waiver before entering the event. ​Advance registration is helpful to organizers but owners may register their dogs onsite. You can read our waiver and rules below.  Registration forms will be posted closer to the date.
Are there refunds?
Pet-A-Palooza is a fundraiser for Fur Kids Foundation. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Please make sure you are good to go before signing up.
Rules of the Festival
  1. All participants at Pet-A-Palooza are expected to practice responsible pet ownership and clean up after your canine (bags provided). Failure to clean up after your pet will result in immediate removal from the event. 
  2. Pets should be kept under control at all times; any unruly participant will be asked to leave. Refunds will not be provided if your dog is unruly and asked to leave.
  3. Pets must be wearing a collar with proper ID at all times. 
  4. All pets MUST be kept on a leash—no longer than six (6) feet—or in an enclosure or enclosed in a pet-friendly enclosure (strollers, etc). Cats are not allowed. Please no retractable leashes. 
  5. For the security of both our two- and four-legged attendees, pets must be up-to-date on all its vaccinations. Participants in the Fast and the FURRiest Fun Walk and Small Dog Showdown will be required to provide proof of rabies vaccination (tag or paperwork). 
  6. No dogs in any stage of heat may participate. 
  7. No puppies under six (6) months of age may attend. 
  8. Water for dogs is served community-style; if your dog requires a separate drinking container, please bring your own. 
  9. No children 12 and under are permitted to participate without an adult. 
  10. For all participants safety, no bicycles, skateboards, Rollerblades, or roller skates are allowed.
  11. If your pet gets nervous around large crowds or does not interact well with people or other pets, is not a social pet, please leave them home.
​Liability Waiver
Thank you for participating in Fur Kids Foundation’s Pet-A-Palooza. By participating / exhibiting at Pet-A-Palooza, and attending as a participant, guest or a vendor at Pet-A-Palooza, produced by Fur Kids Foundation, I agree on behalf of myself, my spouse, my children, heirs, personal representatives and assigns (collectively "guest"), to the following:
  1. To indemnify and hold harmless the Fur Kids Foundation, CAM-PLEX Park, and its agents associated with Pet-A-Palooza, all sponsoring organizations and their elected officials, directors, employees, representatives and volunteers from any responsibility, injury, property damage, loss, personal liability, or claims of loss, damage or expenses that may occur or relating to the participation/ attending within the event. The entities above are not responsible for any injury sustained by exhibitors, patrons, animals or guests.
  2. While attending Pet-A-Palooza with my animal(s) and should any injury occur to any person, other animal or property as a result of the behavior of my animal(s) at Pet-A-Palooza, whether expected or unexpected, regardless of the stimulus for the behavior (i.e., animal’s spontaneous conduct, the conduct of another animal, the conduct of any person or thing, or a combination of any of these), I will be solely liable and be held responsible for any injury or property damage that results from (including reasonable attorney’s fees) and that I will indemnify, hold harmless, protect and defend Fur Kids Foundation, the City of Gillette, Dalbey Memorial Park Edwards Shelter, and its agents associated with Pet-A-Palooza, all sponsoring organizations and their elected officials, directors, employees, representatives and volunteers, for any and all claims of liability and damages from any injury, property damage, loss, claim, or expense resulting from the behavior of my animal.
  3. To report any and all such injuries immediately to the Fur Kids Foundation Board Members / Event Management.
  4. That bringing my animal/pet into Pet-A-Palooza, I understand that I am doing so at my sole risk, cost and expense and any harm that comes to the animal shall be solely my responsibility; and that I will be solely responsible for cleaning up any messes made by my animal/pet.
  5. That my animal/pet is healthy, free from parasites and has all necessary shots including rabies for dogs. Proof of rabies vaccination requested for Small Dog Showdown.
  6. For valuable consideration received, I give Fur Kids Foundation, their assigns, licensees, and legal representatives the irrevocable right to use my picture, portrait or photograph in all forms, media and promotional materials, without restriction as to changes or alterations for advertising, trade, promotion, exhibition, or any other lawful purposes. I waive any right to inspect or approve the photographs or electronic matter that may be used in conjunction with them now or in the future, whether that use is known to me or unknown, and I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the photographs.
  7. That I understand that if my animal/pet acts in any way considered aggressive or dangerous I will have to leave the show and will not be entitled to any refund. 

Fur Kids Foundation is the only organization in Northeastern Wyoming that provides families with pets access to veterinary care when they cannot afford it—so you are helping your neighbors and friends, and maybe family, when you donate.
